THEME: REGIONALISATION IN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION
Internationalisation of higher education is generally understood to operate in a globalised world, but it is increasingly argued that another influential force is at play simultaneously: regionalisation. From large regions such as the European Higher Education Area to smaller sub-regions, this issue explores internationalisation through the lenses of regionalisation and regionalism: what regional trends exist, how internationalisation plays out regionally, and how internationalisation intersects with the unique forces of regionalisation.
