Webinar: Top tips to submit an EAIE session proposal

Thinking about submitting a session proposal for the EAIE 2027 Conference in Lisbon? The call for proposals for the 2027 EAIE Conference and Exhibition in Lisbon is currently open until 02 November. The EAIE welcomes session proposals from the global international higher education community for consideration of inclusion within the conference programme.

EAIE Conference Programme Committee (CPC) members Evelien Hack, Aleksandra Kowalska and Adam Pettit recently hosted a webinar outlining the EAIE call for proposals process for both first-time submitters and seasoned conference speakers. They also shared some tips to keep in mind when crafting a quality session proposal for #EAIE2027.

Tips for a strong #EAIE2027 proposal

  • Promote diversity and engagement: Include a diverse set of contributors representing different countries and institutions/organisations to ensure a global perspective.
  • Ensure your topic explicitly states a connection to internationalisation
  • Know your audience and format: Tailor your proposal to your target participants and choose the most suitable session type
  • Be relevant and evidence-based: Focus on a clear topic within internationalisation, supported by research or real-world experience.
  • Define clear learning outcomes: Make them SMART—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound.
