Successful integration of international students extends beyond academic settings, requiring targeted efforts to create an inclusive and supportive environment. This poster explores various strategies employed by Hungarian higher education institutions to facilitate social integration, based on the experience of the Study in Hungary initiative. We aim to contribute to the ongoing conversation on improving the international student experience through targeted out-of-class support.

A Dutch initiative is aiming to boost the microchip sector across four regions, with Twente training 1600 talented people in five years. With the aim of getting students in the right place, Saxion University of Applied Sciences and the University of Twente – a research university – are collaborating with companies to showcase the potential of the Twente region. How do we ensure Erasmus+ graduates don't just move abroad but move forward? Across Europe, universities and employers are rethinking how to bridge the gap between international learning and meaningful work. This panel session will explore innovative and critical approaches to cooperation with the industries that support graduates' transitions into the labour market, while also looking at how to continue to engage graduates in education once they are active in their field of work.

Most reports on international students focus on tuition fees. But what happens after graduation? This panel session will share research tracking over 500,000 international graduates. Many stay and work in host countries, filling critical jobs. Others return home or move to new countries. We'll share findings on where graduates work, what jobs they do, which industries employ them and how they move between countries.

International students are at greater risk of experiencing mental health issues and find it difficult to seek and access help. In this context, artificial intelligence-driven social prescribing apps represent a groundbreaking approach to international student mental well-being, moving beyond traditional support services to proactive, personalised support. These digital tools connect students directly to tailored well-being activities and resources based on their individual needs and preferences.

This session will address forced internationalisation through the case of students in exile, exploring how higher education institutions can respond to these students' academic, social and administrative needs despite limited resources. We will present practical ways to strengthen inclusion and we will call on EU policymakers to recognise and support institutions' specific efforts towards these socially and economically disadvantaged students.

Health challenges can deeply affect professional identity, relationships and expectations at work. This peer reflection session will create a supportive space to explore how to navigate such moments. Through guided questions, you will reflect on disclosure versus privacy, changing workplace dynamics and how to move forward without losing your sense of self. We will highlight how peer support and professional networks can provide strength, perspective and hope.

This poster showcases how German universities use innovative and sustainable onboarding practices to support international students' success and integration. Good practice examples illustrate how tailored linguistic, academic and social measures foster belonging, academic achievement and long-term talent retention with the objective to strengthen universities as global talent magnets.

What is the added value of green travel in student mobility? How can this experience better equip future graduates to enter the labour market and apply their transversal competencies? The green mobility revolution is linking sustainable travel with employability, thanks to the overlap between the skills and attitudes developed through slow travel and those most sought after by employers. Universities should ensure access to this form of mobility and provide a framework to recognise the skills.

What blind spots exist in mental health or harassment prevention? How do you balance student empowerment with accountability? Welcoming exchange students is a task for everyone involved in student mobility. Many institutions host welcome weeks, yet few fully involve students in shaping them. How can universities and student organisations co-create inclusive and empowering welcome experiences? What can be expected of students? What is a 'nice to have' and what is a 'need to have'? This session will explore practical frameworks and tools to rethink traditional introductions and place students at the heart of the process.

Building on EAIE conference feedback and high-impact pilots, this session will take a practical deep dive into how artificial intelligence can be effectively integrated into international student services. Learn how to deploy chatbots, automate admin tasks and deliver policy-safe content. Walk away with tools, examples and a pilot plan to enhance student support across the full international student life cycle, all while 'keeping the human in the loop'.

Housing, well-being, careers – are our students truly supported? This session will combine insights from EUROSTUDENT 8, the Student Living Monitor, employability research and the European Scholarship Summit 2026. You will co-create strategies for scholarships that integrate housing, well-being, career pathways and inclusion for sustainable European impact.

This poster showcases a digital system for tracking Erasmus+ internship mobility at Manisa Celal Bayar University in Turkey. The model integrates mentor feedback, student reflections and alumni data into one dashboard, linking internship experiences to employability outcomes. It offers a transferable example of how data-driven monitoring can enhance the quality, visibility and long-term impact of Erasmus+ internships.

Egalitarian dialogue and mutual collaboration are expected among higher education professionals. However, faculty and staff from different backgrounds attest to how seemingly 'civil' interactions can mask prejudice and structural and interpersonal inequalities. This session will discuss how inequalities translate into microaggressions and prejudice, and we will provide lessons on awareness raising and intercultural communicative competencies.

The political and social environment for welcoming international students is challenging today. While on the one hand governments aim to attract qualified international students for the domestic labour market, on the other hand there is discrimination against international students and we need to address it. This session will examine the situation in Germany and the Netherlands based on recent research, sharing real-life case studies.

Students are more than learners – they are innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers. This session will explore how universities, European university alliances and quadruple helix ecosystems can empower students as co-creators of innovation and impact. Through real cases and a participatory discussion, you will reflect, share and co-design actionable steps for mission-driven education.
