Antonia Caro
VIU / Qn Alliance, Spain
Dr. Toñi Caro has dedicated her career to reimagining how universities can lead societal transformation. With more than 25 years of experience in European higher education policy, internationalisation and research innovation, she is widely recognised for helping institutions anticipate change and embrace it strategically. At Valencian International University (VIU), a fully digital institution, she explores how higher education can evolve in a hyper-digitalised world.
Her work incides on that universities cannot act alone: lasting impact emerges when they collaborate governments, industry and civil society through quadruple helix initiatives and projects. As an evaluator expert for the European Commission and an entrepreneur at Eoh-for-Good and MAVERICKS Global, she bridges the diverse needs, rhythms and interests of these actors, turning complexity into opportunity.
Dr. Caro has shaped European University Alliances, advanced over 100 international projects and authored Transformative Governance for the Future (Springer, 2023), accessed by more than 19,000 readers worldwide.
