Successful integration of international students extends beyond academic settings, requiring targeted efforts to create an inclusive and supportive environment. This poster explores various strategies employed by Hungarian higher education institutions to facilitate social integration, based on the experience of the Study in Hungary initiative. We aim to contribute to the ongoing conversation on improving the international student experience through targeted out-of-class support.
Please note, posters are divided between the SEC Centre and the Crown Plaza Hotel this year. The approximate walking time between the two locations is 4 minutes. Posters ending between 01 and 16 will be found in the SEC Centre Concourse, posters ending between 17 and 30 will be found in the Crown Plaza Hotel, Argyll Foyer.
Laura Kovács, PhD, works as a senior internationalization coordinator for the Study in Hungary Directorate of Tempus Public Foundation, which is the national coordinating body responsible for the management of most international mobility programs and scholarships in Hungary. With over 15 years of experience in international education, she coordinates the pavilion representing Hungarian higher education at NAFSA, APAIE and EAIE exhibitions, and is a regular speaker at these conferences.
