Successful integration of international students extends beyond academic settings, requiring targeted efforts to create an inclusive and supportive environment. This poster explores various strategies employed by Hungarian higher education institutions to facilitate social integration, based on the experience of the Study in Hungary initiative. We aim to contribute to the ongoing conversation on improving the international student experience through targeted out-of-class support.

Laura Kovács, PhD, works as a senior internationalization coordinator for the Study in Hungary Directorate of the Tempus Public Foundation, which is the national coordinating body responsible for the management of most international mobility programs and scholarships in Hungary. She has more than 10 years of experience in international education, as she is responsible for coordinating the pavilion representing Hungarian higher education at NAFSA, APAIE and EAIE exhibitions, and is a regular speaker at these conferences.
