Tayyeb Shah

University of Western Australia, Wells Advisory, United Kingdom
Tayyeb Shah

My name is Tayyeb Shah. I am Special Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor at the University of Western Australia, and Principal Adviser at Wells Advisory UK. I have worked in senior internationalisation roles for over a decade and was previously Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Global Partnerships at UWA and Deputy Vice-President for Global Business Development at King’s College London.

I have been involved with the EAIE for many years and recently finished six years on the Professional Development Committee. I was Chair for the last two of those, during which we oversaw the development and roll-out of the successful Online Academy.

I am a big proponent of using technology to enhance learning and improve systems and processes. Having senior experience in a number of institutions and countries, including as board member for a range of organisations, I believe I can make a positive contribution to the EAIE if elected as Board member. At a time when the pandemic is obliging the EAIE to revisit its operating model, I feel my commercial skills and broad experience will help towards developing innovative, sustainable and inclusive plans to carry forward the EAIE.

I would be honoured to serve the EAIE as Board member. Thank you.
