Ukraine support & resources

With the war and human rights crisis ongoing in Ukraine, the EAIE is dedicated to providing timely and relevant content and resources to support the international education community in Europe. This page brings together helpful materials on how to support Ukrainian institutions, and affected students and academics.

Listen to the EAIE podcast

In this podcast episode, host Laura Rumbley talks to Daryna Zavhorodnia, project manager for the Unissued Diplomas project, an initiative whose purpose is to put the spotlight on a group of 36 Ukrainian higher education students who will never receive their diplomas because their lives were ended too soon by the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Reflecting on a year of war and resilience in Ukraine

In observance of the one-year anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, Laura Rumbley re-connects with two guests who joined us in April last year for the EAIE Community Moment webcast on the Ukrainian higher education community. Ganna Tolstanova, Vice-Rector for Research at Tarash Schevchenko National University of Kyiv, and Sophia Opatska, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development at Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, join us again for an update on the current status of the international higher education community in Ukraine.
