Wim Gabriels
Erasmus Student Network, Belgium
As Director of the Erasmus Student Network, supporting international students and advising international relations offices on support measures for students is core to the work I do. I have worked in the field of Higher Education for the past seven years, first as International Officer at VUB in Brussels, and later on as Project Manager and Director of ESN International. Together with my team, I have worked on creating an evidence-based approach to understanding the needs of students and universities in the field of international student mobility.
My objective is to offer training and guidance for university staff on how mobility can be more inclusive, sustainable and impactful for the students with regard to their personal development of competences and integration into the local community. I would like to represent the student perspective to the Mobility Advising Expert Community to bring student supported solutions for challenges related to international student mobility. I am therefore happy to step forward and collaborate with the EAIE team and community as a Steering Group member.
