Tomas Ordonez Rubio

Tomas is a Student Psychological Counsellor at the University of Alicante, Spain. Since earning his Doctorate degree in psychology from the University of Valencia in 2000, he has focused his investigations and professional activities on the support, counselling and inclusion of students in higher education. He is a founding member of the Spanish Association of Higher Education Psychological and Psycho-pedagogical Services, created in 2009, and is actively involved in the Network of Support to Disabled People in Higher Education Centres and in the Experts Network in Higher Education Support Services, both of which provide services to Spanish universities. During this time he has developed and shared ways to assess and address students’ needs, particularly with respect to the growing demand from both international and domestic students who wish to continue their training abroad. He has been a Steering group member in the EAIE Expert Community Guidance and Counselling from 2012–2018.
