Pär’s experience in the area of internationalisation and higher education includes six years researching weak systems in developing countries at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and two years as head of the International Relations Office at Lund University, Sweden, where he has also served as Africa manager and currently serves as an International Coordinator. He has been a project coordinator of and partner in several EU-funded projects for internationalisation of higher education and has promoted joint programmes as a trainer at EAIE events, at the EAIE Academy and in the EU-funded programme Joint Programme Management: Conferences and Training (JOICON). After earning Master’s degrees in biology and chemistry and a Doctorate degree in neuroscience, he engaged in postdoctoral work at University College London; he has also participated in the EAIE’s ‘Train the Trainer’ programmes. He has taught biology and medical students at Lund University and regularly presents and does trainings with the EAIE on European funding schemes and on joint study programmes, particularly in doctoral studies.
