Mary is a qualified accountant who works for the University of West of England (UWE) Faculty of Business and Law, leading the international partnerships for the business side of the faculty. This includes leading a key partnership in Malaysia initially as a franchise but then developing Malyasia’s first international university dual degrees. Mary is also the academic co-ordinator for Erasmus in the faculty, looking after the development of study abroad opportunities. Mary’s teaching focuses around international financial management and market analysis at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her research is focused on the economic impact of the use of accounting in government policy formation, with particular reference to the workplace and disability. Mary peer reviews for several academic journals including the 3 * rated Critical Perspectives on Accounting (CPA) journal and she advises a number of publishers on business publication development in the field of accounting and international business.
