Mark Blythe
Group GTI, United Kingdom
Mark set up Group GTI whilst studying at the University of Reading in the UK in 1988. GTI’s founding mission was, and still remains, to help young people make better decisions about their future through a range of media products and technology. Over the past thirty years, Mark has been instrumental in developing GTI’s strategy in a rapidly-changing world and driving its work in the UK, the rest of Europe and more widely.
An area of long-term interest for Mark has been how technology and data can improve the efficacy and efficiency of the graduate careers and recruitment process. Highlights include the development of the UK’s first graduate careers site in 1995, the development of the world’s first graduate-specific applicant tracking system for large employers in 2002 and more recently the development of the TARGETconnect careers service management platform, which helps universities deliver world-class graduate outcomes.
Having visited and worked with over 90 universities in eight countries in the past twelve months, Mark is confident that he has a good feel for how universities are preparing for the future of work.
