Marija Mitić

Higher education starts in early childhood. So does exclusion.

Marija Mitic is Policy Analyst at the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) unit of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC).

MSCA support training, mobility and career development of researchers of all stages of their career and from all over the world. The programme encourages international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility and partnerships.

Marija is responsible for feedback to policy in the unit, following horizontal priorities in the programme, coordinating and supporting a wide span of consultation and policy feedback activities under the MSCA. She is also involved in support for researchers at risk under MSCA.

Marija has 10+ years of extensive international experience in education and training policy and practice. She gained experience as an intercultural trainer and youth leader in the field of diversity and inclusion. She has knowledge of and a keen interest in EU inclusion and diversity policy agenda at large. Marija has worked as an intercultural diversity trainer for Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation, Policy Officer at the Academic Cooperation Association and Cooperation and Partnerships Coordinator at the Lifelong Learning Platform. Marija holds a BA in English Studies from Belgrade University and an MA in Lifelong Learning Policy and Management from Aarhus and Deusto Universities. She was elected as a Steering Group member of the Inclusion and Diversity Expert Community for the 2022–2024 term.
