Alumni trailblazer: reimagining lifelong alumni potential
Maria has over 20 years’ experience in leadership roles in higher education management, as a scholar and alumni relations professional. Aside from being the Founder of KITE-Keep in Touch Education, Maria is a Visiting Research Fellow with Trinity College Dublin and a Research Fellow with the Community Knowledge Initiative at the National University of Ireland, Galway. She is an active speaker at the EAIE and also completed a TEDx talk: "We are all connected by one word: Alumni." Maria has several academic publications on alumni relationship building and volunteering. In Summer 2020, she wrote an article with Sandra Rincón on alumni connection for EAIE Forum magazine. She is a Doctor of Education from the University of Sheffield, and holds an MA in Public Sector Management from the University College Dublin and a BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto. Maria was elected as a Steering Group Member for the EAIE Alumni Relations Expert Community for the 2022-2024 term.
