Joseph Armando Soba

Joseph is currently in charge of the development of international cooperation at the University of Lille, France. He has a PhD in film studies, and his research focuses on the distribution and reception of Hollywood movies in French-speaking African countries as well as on labour relations in the American film industry. As Policy Adviser in International Relations and Strategy, he informs, counsels and fosters the university community to shape and reinforce its international endeavours. He supervises the University of Lille’s implementation of any projects that are part of the international joint programmes Erasmus Mundus Action 1 and Action 2 and that include African, Brazilian, European and Mexican universities. As a technical partner of the EU-funded Intra-ACP (Africa, the Caribbean, the Pacific) mobility scheme, he is an adviser to an African consortium implementing the project. Since 2011, Joseph has been acting as an external assessor of European education programmes, mainly Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships for the French National Agency. Joseph was a Steering group member for the EAIE Expert Community Cooperation for Development.
