Inviting everyone to the table: How to approach inclusion in higher education marketing
- Tuesday 26 Sept
13:30-17:00 - Dock 10B, Level 1, Rotterdam Ahoy
- Level: Intermediate
- €209 (€319 for non-members)
Identity diversification is based not only on national or regional cultures but increasingly on ethnicity, gender, sexuality and social awareness. As we plan our recruitment campaigns, we must consider more diversified and nuanced identities in order to attract international students. But do we know how to consciously take into account the complex identities of candidates? In addition to the traditional notion of the integration of individuals, the idea of alignment of diverse identities is taking centre stage. This workshop will explore diversity and inclusion in marketing.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to:
- know what to look for when thinking about increasing diversity on campus;
- apply inclusivity messages in a successful way;
- be authentic in your inclusive marketing.
This session is aimed at international recruiters and marketeers, university communication officers, heads of the international students and recruitment units, university diversity and inclusion officers, and language and culture teachers.
