Session 02.02

Language and Culture presents: Connecting currents: Why language(s) matter

  • Wednesday 27 Sept
    09:00-10:30
  • Rotterdam C, Level 3, Rotterdam Ahoy
  • Related Expert Communities Language and Culture

This session focuses on the importance of language(s) and communication in the context of the EAIE's work, and how they facilitate connections between different perspectives as well as connecting currents. It underscores the critical role of language(s) as a transversal skill in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world. Communication is at the heart of all activities, and language(s) connect individuals from various walks of life, regardless of their abilities and backgrounds. Recognising the empowering potential of language(s) is crucial in international education.
