Sooner or later, most universities will engage in developing an international strategy. There are two ways to approach this: one is top-down and the other is bottom-up. In this session, both approaches will be discussed with presenters exploring the top-down ‘leadership approach’ as well as the bottom-up ‘grass roots’ one. Together with audience participants, we will discuss the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
