Stella Saliari

Identifying future leaders and speakers from underrepresented countries and communities.

Stella Saliari is a gender consultant and feminist researcher and has worked as an English and German language teacher and as a researcher for the Centre for Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies (CEMMIS) in Athens. After moving to the Netherlands she worked for 10 years as a Regional Manager Academic Relations for the TOEFL program at ETS Global and oversaw the Client Relations team in the EMEA region. She is an experienced speaker and facilitator, a board member of the Syrian Female Journalists Network (SFJN), the founder and host of Salt the Podcast, an intersectional feminist podcast, and an expert in language assessment-related topics. She studied English and German Language and Literature at the TU in Braunschweig, Germany, as well as Linguistics at the University of York, Middle East Politics at SOAS in London, and Gender Studies at Utrecht University. She has been a Steering group member of the Expert Community Language and Culture since 2018 and was re-elected for the 2020–2022 term.
