Richard Versmissen

Richard Versmissen is Programme Manager of the English taught Bachelor’s programme, International Communication and Media (ICM) at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (HU), the Netherlands. ICM has an international student population of approximately 800 students. ICM staff is truly international too. Study abroad and international work placements are a compulsory part of the ICM curriculum. Richard holds a Dutch postgraduate degree in English Language and Literature; he wrote his PhD on the films of Peter Greenaway at the University of Sheffield, England. At the HU, he trains staff in diversity skills; he is a coach for refugees for the Dutch University Academic Fund and he coaches/trains a women’s football team. When it comes to managing diversity in a globalised world, Richard wants to try and make a difference. He was a member of the EAIE's Professional Development Committee.
