Karen Gustafsson

I believe in integration through education and internationalisation

Karen works as an International Coordinator at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, where she is responsible for student mobility of five programmes within the Department for Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, and the Department for Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology. She has experience working within an international and intercultural setting, both within the area of research and education, and currently within education through student mobility. Karen is also involved in the implementation of the university's international strategic plan which includes internationalisation at home, mobility, and international student recruitment. Previously she worked with an EU funded (FP7) research project involving ten European partners. Karen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Social Anthropology from the University of Malta. Within the EAIE, she is a Steering group member in the EAIE Expert Community Health and Welfare Education.
