For generations, the University of Mannheim has been preparing students to take on leadership roles in business, academia and society. Specialising in economic and social sciences, the University of Mannheim has ranked repeatedly among the top 20 European research institutions. With 12,000 students, the campus surrounding Mannheim’s baroque palace houses schools and departments of Business Administration, Economics, the Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, and Business Informatics and Mathematics. Intending to foster international exchange, the University of Mannheim was the first German University to introduce an international academic calendar. Today, it sends 1100 students abroad to 450 partner institutions around the world while receiving the same number of incoming exchange students every year. Furthermore, a broad spectrum of courses and degrees conducted in English has resulted in an outstanding rate of 18% international students at the university.
University of Mannheim was shortlisted for the Institutional Award for Innovation in Internationalisation for demonstrating a notable comprehensive approach to internationalisation.
