Technology and the internationalisation of higher education: the past and the future

Online learning, virtual exchanges and digital marketing were largely absent from the official pre-pandemic international strategies of most institutions in the United States, Canada, England and Australia. In the context of COVID-19, interest in technology-enabled processes and activities has grown significantly. This poster argues that this trend will be permanent and that newer institutional plans for internationalisation are likely to reflect this change.
