Poster sessions
Poster sessions offer a unique opportunity to engage with and talk at length with those interested in your content. They are designed to present your original ideas and innovations in research, as well as new techniques or technologies being used to facilitate the internationalisation of higher education, in poster format. Speakers should work with graphic designers to produce an interesting and enticing poster that inspires participants to discuss it with the presenter and those around them.
Format
Poster sessions can be attended by all participants. They require a combination of text and graphics in a poster format, based on a specific topic in international higher education. The poster session format allows participants to network and browse through the poster board area, study the information and discuss it with speakers during a 90-minute time slot.
There are three distinct themes of posters:
- Country update
A presentation on international higher education focusing on developments in a specific country - Best practices
A presentation of tried and tested successful best practices employed at higher education institutions - Innovation in international higher education
A presentation of research, innovative ideas and new techniques or technologies being used to facilitate the internationalisation of higher education
Criteria
All poster session proposals are assessed based on the quality and relevance of the content, and their value within the context of the EAIE (eg diversity of subject matters, audience, Expert Community topics, conference theme, etc). Speakers are expected to be available for a 90-minute time slot during the conference to present and discuss their poster and best practice examples with participants.
