Do I have to be an EAIE member to write for the EAIE?

Anyone, including non-EAIE members, is welcome to submit a contribution for consideration by the EAIE.

What do I get in return?

By writing for the EAIE, you gain the opportunity to share your knowledge, experience and expertise with the international higher education community and make your voice heard on our platform. This could potentially open the doors for future collaborations in this area. As a Forum magazine author, you’ll also receive a digital Credly badge to showcase your contribution.

What kind of topics is the EAIE looking for?

Our publications span the full breadth of international education.  For Forum magazine, contributions should align with the specific theme of the issue you are applying to. You can see the upcoming theme here. For the blog, there are no set topics; however, we ask that your article be related to one or more topics from our taxonomy. Submissions are welcome at any time.

Am I able to share my published work?

Yes! We encourage you to share your published work with your professional community. All blog posts and research snapshots are freely accessible to everyone and can be shared freely at any time. Forum magazine is exclusively available to EAIE members for the first year after publication; however, you will receive a copy of your article for your own records and portfolio. After this time, the full edition of the magazine is accessible to everyone, and your article can be freely shared.

What is the selection process for my article to be accepted?

To increase your chances of acceptance, connect your topic to the core themes of international education and maintain a clear and specific focus. Share transferable insights and practices that others can apply, rather than promoting your own work. Always consider the perspectives and challenges of EAIE readers and make your article action-oriented by including concrete steps, examples, or practices. Well-defined, practical, and reader-focused articles stand out most.

Whose perspectives are we looking for?

We welcome diverse perspectives from across the international education field — including international officers, academics, students, institutional leaders, policy makers, trainers, and consultants. Most importantly, we value your unique role and the insights only you can share.
