Tom is Chair and Professor of Marketing at Xavier University, USA, from which he also holds a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA in marketing. He holds a second MBA in organisation behaviour, as well as a PhD in marketing, both from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, in the USA. He is a founding partner and Vice-President of Simpson-Scarborough, a full service marketing consulting agency for institutions of higher education, and founded the American Marketing Association’s Symposium on the Marketing of Higher Education. Tom served as editor of The Journal of Marketing for Higher Education for 20 years and remains an associate editor. He has won the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Crystal Apple for speaking and CASE Alice Beeman Award for writing.
