Marlie van Dun

Marlie is Director of International Affairs at Breda University of Applied Sciences. She is currently responsible for the management of the university’s international relations – focusing on institutional partnerships worldwide – and for the further development of the internationalisation strategy and policy. Marlie joined Breda University of Applied Sciences in 1993, after a number of years work experience in consulting. She set up the placement office, which advises students on their search for international placements and created a professional network of international companies. Marlie moved to the position of International Policy Advisor in 2003, when Breda University of Applied Sciences established a Strategic Centre for Internationalisation, and became Director of International Affairs in 2010. Marlie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Tourism Management and a Bachelor’s degree in French Language Teaching, as well as a Master of Arts in Culture Studies. She is a member of various local and national higher education networks in the Netherlands, and is currently a member of the EAIE General Council.
