Marit Svendsen

Marit Svendsen is a Senior Advisor at Universell, Norway, the National Coordinator of Accessibility of Higher Education. Universell contributes to an improved accessibility to higher education for students with disabilities, offering information and knowledge about universal design as an academic and strategic term in higher education, and implementing universal design as a theme in appropriate curriculums. Universell also supports the Learning Environment Committees at the higher education institutions in Norway. Marit has been in this post since 2013. Prior to that, she worked at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), with international researchers support, and in the Division for Health, Security and Safety, for several years. She has also worked as a manager and advisor both in the private and public sectors in Norway. She has a Bachelors degree in Management from BI Norwegian Business School, and a joint Masters degree in Knowledge Management from Copenhagen Business School of Denmark and Nord-Trøndelag University College of Norway. She is a Resource person for the EAIE Expert Community Access and Diversity.
