Marie Heraughty

Specialist in managing international partnerships and improving the student experience
Marie is a management consultant in international higher education. She specialises in managing European programmes, intercultural training and the international student experience. Formerly head of international affairs at Dublin City University, Ireland, she successfully developed and managed international partnerships and networks for research, education and exchange with China, India, South East Asia and Latin America. She also worked in the University of Limerick and as manager for EU programmes in Léargas, Ireland’s national agency for youth exchange and education. A member of the panel of experts for Erasmus Mundus, she is also a consultant on quality assurance for transnational collaborations for higher education institutions. Marie has a Bachelor’s degree in languages from University College Dublin and a Master’s in French from the National University of Galway, Ireland. Between 2014 and 2020, she was Chair of the EAIE’s Professional Development Committee and since 2020 she is a member of the EAIE General Council.
