Claire O'Leary

With over 20 years of experience in international student support, advice and management, Claire leads the Student Experience section within the Student Opportunity Division at University of Warwick which comprises Immigration and Compliance; Student Internationalisation; all student Welcome and International Student Support. Claire has also organised the Warwick/UKCISA Integration Summits for all UK institutions interested in promoting greater integration and intercultural learning amongst their student communities. She is the programme manager for Warwick's Welcome Week for all new students across all nationalities and study levels. Claire leads on student immigration compliance strategy and policy for Warwick and is co-chair of the Immigration Compliance Network, a sector organisation for colleagues working in compliance, which Claire co-founded. Claire has served two terms of office as a trustee on the board of the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA). Claire has a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication from the University of Warwick. Her Bachelor’s degree was in English and French from the University of Leeds.

A passionate advocate for the internationalisation of the student learning experience and for integration, Claire is Chair of the EAIE Expert Community Mobility Advising for the 2020–2022 term. She regularly presents at EAIE conferences and is an EAIE Academy trainer.
