Andreas Eimer

In his function as Head of the Careers Service at the University of Münster in Germany, Andreas Eimer is engaged in teaching, counselling and working on strategic development. Andreas advocates for an understanding of employability within higher education that would see adaptability, knowledge creation and innovation as the core elements. Additionally, he promotes careers education to be knowledge- and research-based, and is active in developing quality assurance procedures, teaching methods and impact research in the field.
Prior to his current position, for several years Andreas worked as a journalist and in the PR field, among others for the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Science in Düsseldorf, Germany. Since 2015, he has conducted various expert missions to Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia, where he has consulted academic and administrative staff in higher education institutions and ministries for higher education on how to strengthen graduates’ employability.
Andreas studied Career Management and Counselling and Organisational Psychology at the University of London Birkbeck College, where he graduated with an MSc in 2009. In 2018, he completed psychotherapy training.
