Arqus European University Alliance
The Arqus European University Alliance brings together as full partners the universities of Granada (ES), Graz (AT), Leipzig (DE), Lyon 1 (FR), Maynooth (IE), Minho (PT), Padua (IT), Vilnius (LT) and Wrocław (PL), nine well-established prestigious comprehensive research universities who share a common profile as internationalised institutions with deep regional engagement in medium- and small-sized cities and extensive experience in joint projects in a wide variety of fields. They are joined by two associate universities, Durham (UK) and National University of Kyiv - Mohyla Academy (UA), with a similar profile. All eleven universities share the conviction that balanced European cooperation is essential to the global future of their institutions and that, together, the partners have the potential to progress further, faster and more firmly. Arqus builds on its member universities’ considerable prior experience in multilateral transnational cooperation in order to achieve the highest level of integration in our policies and action plans, research and innovation activity, educational offer, and societal engagement in order to become a truly European campus.
