James Kennedy

James works as a part-time Adviser on Internationalisation at the University of Yangon, Myanmar. James spent 26 years in the British Council, managing international education projects and programmes in Kuwait, Malaysia, Swaziland, Malawi, Germany, Kazakhstan and Russia. In the 1980s he was involved in setting up and then leading the earliest British Council international marketing and recruitment activities for universities in the United Kingdom. He worked for nine years as the Director of the International Office at the University of Warwick, UK until retiring in 2017. James earned a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from the University of Exeter, UK; a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the University of London’s Institute of Education; and a Master of Science in Applied Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
