Andrew Disbury is Vice-Principal and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement), having executive responsibility for the internationalisation of the University of the West of Scotland, UK. Andrew worked previously at Sheffield Hallam University, UK, where he was a lecturer in international business and head of student recruitment for the Sheffield Business School. He was the director of education at British Council China, where he led the British Council’s education work across the country. Andrew was director of student recruitment and admissions at the University of St Andrews, UK. He then joined Leeds Metropolitan University, UK as director of the international office, where he led the international roll-out of the name change to Leeds Beckett University. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese and French from the University of Leeds and an MBA from Sheffield Hallam University, both in the UK. Andrew has been a Steering group member of the EAIE Expert Community Marketing and Recruitment since 2014.
