A chat about China

 

As the largest source of international students in the world, and among the three most popular study destinations, China is a powerhouse to be reckoned with on the international education global stage.

To make sense of the many intersecting phenomena that are reshaping international higher education in China today – including student mobility, geopolitics and key research agendas – EAIE’s Laura Rumbley is joined by Dr Wen Wen of Tsinghua University. Their conversation takes us on a quick journey across a country of 1,270 universities and more than 20 million students. About Wen Wen

Dr Wen Wen is an Associate Professor in Higher Education at Tsinghua University’s Institute of Education, and Vice-Director of the University's Centre for Asian Studies. Her latest research examines higher education internationalisation, comparative and international higher education, and curricula in higher education. Dr. Wen has been Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University and a Visiting Scholar at the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College. She also serves as the associate editor of Studies in Higher Education.
