Transversal skills in doctoral education: Best practices and steps forward

As the number of PhD candidates pursuing a non-academic career after graduation is increasing, it is paramount that PhD programmes offer training on transversal skills that are relevant to both academic and non-academic sectors. Which skills should be integrated into doctoral curricula, and how? What can universities do to support PhD candidates in their career development?
