Session 02.14

Using students as a compass to navigate the tides of sustainability and internationalisation

In-person global mobility has myriad proven benefits for students and is likely to remain at the core of internationalisation strategies. However, universities and students are increasingly aware of – and concerned about – the climate impact of international travel. This session will discuss practical steps that student mobility practitioners have taken, and aim to take, to acknowledge and address the climate impact of international programmes in ways that align to students’ values and needs.
