Birgit Kraus, M.Sc., is a cooperative doctoral candidate at both TU Darmstadt and Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany, exploring the quality assurance of linguistic and intercultural competences in study-abroad contexts. Her academic background includes studies in higher education management, teaching and comparative linguistics, with more than 5 years of academic and professional experience abroad across various countries.

Her long-standing professional career has spanned teaching, evaluation of teacher training, accreditation, degree programme development and policy planning and quality assurance. Currently, Birgit serves as an executive advisor to the Vice President for Academic Careers and Diversity at TU Darmstadt.
