The Team 

This role is part of the YSJ Global Team at our York campus. The team is led by the Head of Global Student Recruitment, who oversees operations across both campuses. YSJ Global is a multi-disciplinary directorate that consists of operational teams including International Student Recruitment, TNE and Conversion, Overseas Partnerships, Student Support, Marketing and Communications, Admissions, Visa and Compliance and the International Programmes Team. Our core function is to progress the international social mobility of students at York St John University.

The Role

The Global Office leads the University’s international student recruitment, global engagement and TNE activities. We are delighted to be recruiting a motivated and ambitious individual to join our International Development Team. This role holder will contribute to the development of new partnership initiatives while supporting the effective management and oversight of an existing portfolio of TNE partners across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

You will be responsible for developing TNE opportunity channels, with a particular focus on agent account management, partner relationships, market development, and supporting student recruitment from enquiry through to enrolment. The role requires strong knowledge and experience of international student recruitment within the higher education sector, alongside the ability to build effective relationships with external stakeholders.

The post holder will play a key role in delivering the University’s 2026–2030 TNE strategy, with responsibilities spanning partnership coordination, data management, and process tracking. This includes maintaining accurate records, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring alignment with institutional policies and regulatory expectations.

The Officer will support the preparation of documentation and analysis for senior stakeholders, including committees, and will coordinate incoming and outgoing international visits and delegations.

It is important to note, this role does require, at times, extensive travel ,which does vary in accordance with strategic priorities.

Required skills and experience

The role holder will bring a minimum of two years’ experience supporting TNE activity within an international higher education context. They will contribute to the development of new partnership initiatives while supporting the effective management and oversight of an existing portfolio of TNE partners across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
