Session 06.13

Setting the stage for implementation of virtual exchange: lessons from EVOLVE and Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange

The potential of virtual exchange (VE) for promoting global skills has been acknowledged as a tool for internationalisation. However, uptake by HEIs is slow. In this session, we’ll look at how the European Union-funded project EVOLVE and pilot project Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange (EVE), seek to promote VE more widely in HEIs. We present results from a baseline study on awareness of VE, discuss challenges in training and dissemination, and share results from research on learning outcomes.
