Whatever your role is in higher education, you’re bound to be familiar with the challenges imposed by elements common to all 21st century workplaces, namely: limited resources, constant change and overwhelming requests for troubleshooting. Are there any creative solutions that can help you to better manage these challenges? Have you tried looking for them outside your own field? While design thinking (DT), agile methodology and lean management principles were originally developed in the software industry, they are not the sole preserve of Silicon Valley. This workshop will introduce you to these tools, enabling you to use them in all your everyday internationalisation initiatives.

Learning outcomes

• Gain theoretical knowledge of design thinking, agile methodologies and lean management principles, and learn how all three tools can be used in the international office
• Understand how to tailor the different processes to your own situation
• Be able to develop new strategies using these tools
