Founded in 1963, the FEDE is an international non-governmental organisation bringing together more than 550 higher and vocational education institutions across 47 countries, most of which are located in Europe. FEDE member institutions share a common commitment to teaching democratic values and respect for human rights.
The FEDE has established partnerships with leading institutions to promote education and learning for all, placing a particular emphasis on academic independence and high-quality education. As members of the FEDE network, educational institutions share knowledge, best practices and build international partnerships.
