Lukas Brück

Lukas Brück is Junior Project Manager (Young Professionals Programme) at the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the on-site-Research Coordinator for a study mapping the pathways refugees take to move from non-formal education (NFE) to formal education (FE) in the Middle East and Europe. Lukas has a keen interest in education. His work experience and unique insights from working both within the private and public sectors in Germany and abroad, helped him develop in-depth knowledge of the challenges that society is facing in addressing the ‘education crisis’. In 2015, he started a volunteer-run language school for refugees in his hometown. In 2016, he was a visiting scholar at George Washington University School of Education and Human Development where he co-authored a paper on “Needs, Barriers, and Support Systems for Students of Refugee Background in Germany”. He holds a Master’s degree in Education Policies for Global Development from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, University of Oslo, Malta and Amsterdam, with a strong research interest in the integration of refugees in national education systems.
