What you'll learn
Release date: 26 June 2020
Academic staff are central stakeholders in higher education institutions. As such, internationalisation efforts can only succeed with the support and participation of these crucial actors. But how can academic staff best be supported to engage with their institutions’ internationalisation strategies and activities? This webinar presents the first findings of an EU-funded project, Systemic University Change Towards Internationalisation for Academia (SUCTIA), which is focused on these dynamics.
Presenter Laura Rumbley will be joined by panellist Joanna Domagala, from the Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU), Poland; Jane Pollard, from the Centre for Higher Education Internationalisation (CHEI) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy; Amélia Veiga, from the Universidade do Porto (U.Porto), Portugal; and Marina Casals Sala, from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), Spain. They will share their practical insights on how to engage academic staff with the institution’s internationalisation efforts.
In this webinar, you will:
- Be exposed to the findings of an exploratory study on academic staff engagement with internationalisation, featuring data from 15 different European countries
- Gain insight into the experiences of several different European universities that are committed to advancing quality training in internationalisation for academic staff
How to get the most out of this webinar
The webinar is aimed principally at staff and heads of international relations offices, as well as those responsible for the professional development of academic staff and academic staff with interests in internationalisation agendas and activities, within higher education institutions.
