Webinar: Top tips to submit an EAIE session proposal

Thinking about submitting a session proposal for the EAIE 2026 Conference in Glasgow? The call for proposals for the 2026 EAIE Conference in Glasgow is currently open until 03 November. The EAIE welcomes session proposals from the global international higher education community for consideration of inclusion within the conference programme.

The EAIE Conference Programme Committee (CPC), led by Evelien Hack and Esko Koponen, recently hosted a webinar to outline the EAIE call for proposals process for both potential first-time submitters and seasoned conference speakers. They also shared some tips to keep in mind when crafting a quality session proposal for #EAIE2026

Tips for a strong #EAIE2026 proposal

  • Know your audience and format: Tailor your proposal to your target participants and choose the most suitable session type
  • Ensure your topic explicitly states a connection to internationalisation
  • Be relevant and evidence-based: Focus on a clear topic within internationalisation, supported by research or real-world experience.
  • Promote diversity and engagement: Include a diverse set of contributors representing different countries and institutions to ensure a global perspective.
  • Define clear learning outcomes: Make them SMART—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound.
