More than 20 million Europeans live on islands and in coastal regions, where traditional mobility often fails. Can internationalisation at home transform peripheral universities from passive recipients to active shapers of European higher education? Drawing on the EUNICoast alliance's experiences, this fishbowl will confront a critical question: How do we design internationalisation at home that genuinely builds capacity, engages faculty and leads to mobility, rather than just substituting for it?
