Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Ariffin bin Abu Hassan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), United Kingdom, in 2004. Currently serves as the Director of UTM International and Chair of the Malaysian Public University International Directors Committee (JKPA).
His leadership extends across regional and global networks, including his roles as President of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), Malaysia’s Erasmus+ National Focal Point (ENFP), Executive Director and Chair of the Steering Committee of the Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) and Operational Board Member of the World Technology Universities Network (WTUN). Through these positions, he continues to advance Malaysia’s higher education internationalization agenda and strengthen cross-border collaboration in science, technology and innovation.

Novie Tajuddin, CEO of Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), leads Malaysia's internationalization and education promotion efforts under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. He drives transnational education initiatives and forges strategic collaborations with global stakeholders, positioning Malaysia as a preferred destination for international students and a key player in global education.
Professor Abd Rahim Abu Talib serves as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), since August 2025. He is a distinguished scholar and leading figure in the field of Aerospace Engineering. His foundational academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Science from the Rolls-Royce UTC at the University of Oxford (2003) and a B.Eng (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering (University of Salford -1998). His diverse research are in Aerodynamics, Heat Transfer, Propulsion, Sustainable Aviation, and Materials. His exceptional publication record in high-impact journals, frequently publishing within the top 1% (JCR Q1), and officially recognized among the Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM). His dedication earned him notable accolades, including the International Sustainable Aviation & Energy Research Society (SARES) Young Scientist Award in Budapest (2019) and a Science Award in 2020. Prior to his current executive role, He served as UPM's Director of Quality Assurance (CQA) in April 2024, while simultaneously acting as the Deputy Chair for the Council of Quality Assurance for Public Universities (MPQ-UA). He serves as the President and Chairman of the Southeast Asia Network on Aerospace Engineering (SANAE), as well as the Deputy-President and a Fellow Member of the Malaysian Society for Engineering and Technology (MySET). He holds extensive professional registrations, as ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer, Professional Engineer with a Practicing Certificate from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), and a registered Professional Engineering Technologist with MySET. Also actively contributes to the governance and advancement as key committees for the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
Professor Abhi Veerakumarasivam is Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Sunway University, Malaysia, where he provides strategic leadership in academic development, internationalisation, and institutional transformation. He previously served as Dean of the School of Medical and Life Sciences.
A University of Cambridge–trained geneticist, educator, and award-winning science communicator, Professor Abhi plays a central role in advancing Sunway as a globally connected, mission-driven university. His work focuses on building strategic international partnerships, strengthening transnational education and student mobility, and developing future-ready educational experiences that integrate academic excellence, industry relevance, sustainability, and social impact.
Professor Abhi is also actively engaged in strengthening science, education, and innovation ecosystems across Asia. He was the inaugural Chair of the International Network for Government Science Advice Asia (INGSA-Asia), Chair of the Young Scientists Network–Academy of Sciences Malaysia, and Co-Chair of the ASEAN Young Scientists Network. Through these roles, he has worked with governments, universities, international organisations, and emerging leaders to advance evidence-informed policymaking, regional collaboration, and scientific capacity. He believes universities must extend beyond awarding degrees to become powerful platforms for talent development, international collaboration, and meaningful societal change.
