Andreas Winkler

Andreas is Head of International Relations Europe and Unite at TU Darmstadt. He has been Secretary General of the European University Alliance Unite! since its foundation in November 2019. Prior to his current position, he successfully managed European projects and networks as coordinator of the CLUSTER consortium (2018-20), as a funding and policy advisor for internationalisation at TU Darmstadt (2015-19) and while working with universities in the Western Balkans as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Bamberg (2010-15).
Andreas studied Geography, Political Sciences, and Communication Sciences and holds a PhD in geography. He is also a certified university and science manager.
He is passionate about the EAIE and a member of the Thematic Committee on European-funded programmes (2024-26) and was already an associate member of the EAIE Expert Community for European Collaborative Programmes (2022-23).

Kevin Guillaume

Circle U. (European University alliance), Belgium

Kevin Guillaume is the Secretary General of Circle U. since September 2021. Circle U. is an inclusive, research-intensive and interdisciplinary European university alliance. The alliance consists of nine flagship universities in Europe with a shared dedication to the long-term transformational process of this unique collaboration. As Secretary General, Kevin oversees the day-to-day management of Circle U. legal entity and ensure the sustainable and strategic development of the alliance. He is intensively engaged in the alliances’ developments and co-leads the policy dialogue of the 65 alliances with key higher education and R&I in Europe.

Kevin Guillaume holds a master’ degree in political sciences from UCLouvain and advanced master’s degree in political economics from KU Leuven. After first professional experiences in Chile and Brazil, Kevin started his career at the Ministry for higher education and research in the French-speaking Community of Belgium. As head of unit, Kevin was in charge of the follow-up and implementation of European and international policy developments, including the Bologna Process. During this period, he serves as Vice-president and President of the ENIC Network.

Kevin was then appointed director for international relations at the Academy of Research and Higher Education in the French-speaking Belgium. For the umbrella organisation representing universities, colleges and art schools, he coordinated various initiatives, projects, actions in support of internationalisation of higher education.

In those positions, Kevin has acquired extensive expertise and experience in specific fields such as internationalisation, mobility, quality assurance, recognition, governance, funding, etc. He has been invited as an expert at several occasions by the European Commission, UNESCO, the Council of Europe, EUA, EURASHE. In June 2022, Kevin was decorated Knight of the Order of Academic Palms by the French Government.
