Martin Schwell

Martin Schwell is a full professor of physical chemistry at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), associated to the Faculty of Science and Technology since 2013. His research focuses on ultraviolet spectroscopy of molecules of interest for astrophysics and the Earth’s atmosphere. Passionate about scientific outreach, he has organized numerous international workshops and schools during his career.
He was a Vice-Dean for International Relations from 2016 to 2022 and has worked on the international development of the educational program of his faculty. From 2022 up to now he is Vice-Rector for European Affairs at UPEC. He’s also the institutional coordinator of UPEC inside the European University Alliance Aurora. His main interest is the development of Aurora, in particular its research and innovation dimension. He also focuses on the European integration of university services inside the Alliance.
Martin Schwell is co-coordinating a French National group on Vice-rector level in charge of European Alliances and Research.
