Come by to meet fellow Communities of Practice (CoP) members and engage in meaningful discussions around the campfire. Discover the new Community Platform and enjoy some fun activities in the afternoon. EAIE members can also pick up their exclusive member pin!
Today's activities and discussions:
09:30 Community Platform demonstration with Q&A (in seated area) – Explore the many possibilities of the new Community Platform for networking, knowledge sharing and connecting in this short demonstration of the platform.
09:30 CoP discussion: Curricular disadvantages for international education (led by Carlos Rioja) – Join a discussion around the subjects and topics exchange students often struggle with, especially in the beginning. The aim is to create a list and propose solutions through academic discussion.
10:00 CoP discussion: FOREU4ALL Alliances (led by Sabine Saint Rose) – As EUAs are joining forces in a brand new FOREU4ALL Community of Practice. This campfire will focus on networking and expressing the hopes (and fears) for this new and large community.
11:30 CoP discussion: Student Mobility - let's meet (led by Alejandra Vicencio) – Join this discussion to share specific topics or areas of work that you would like to propose for the Student and Staff Mobility Thematic Committee to explore.
12:30 CoP discussion: Setting up a Rainbow Community of Practice (led by Dirk G. Van Waelderen) – Come together to discuss content ideas and next steps for the coming year to establish a renewed and engaged EAIE Rainbow Community of Practice for EAIE Gothenburg 2025.
14:30 Salsa time – Get footloose and carefree as you learn a few key salsa dance moves and recharge your batteries for the remainder of the day.
15:00 How to get involved: EAIE volunteer opportunities – Discover the many ways you can share your time and expertise with the EAIE community, from one-off time commitments to mentoring someone or taking on a longer-term volunteer role.
15:30 Speed networking: First time participants – Is it your first EAIE Conference? Drop by for a short network boost with this facilitated networking activity.
16:30 CoP discussion: Building a sustainable COIL/VE practice (led by Eva Haug) – How to start, build and grow a sustainable COIL/VE practice in your institution. What works and who to engage?
